1795 $1 Flowing Hair, Three Leaves, B-5, BB-27, R.1, Fine 15 PCGS. Bowers Die State II. The tell-tale slender "bar" behind Liberty's highest neck curl is diagnostic for BB-27, a variety often selected by early type coin collectors. This silver-gray example appears to be struck slightly off-center toward 11 o'clock, unusual for a Flowing hair dollar. The obverse rim is slightly upset near 8:30, and star 12 shows a moderate mark, but there are no other detractions.
