LISZT FRANZ: (1811-1886) Austrian-Hungarian Composer. An excellent A.M.Q.S., `F Liszt´, a large and bold dark ink signature example, one page, 4to, 8 x 12, (21cm x 29 cm), dated in his hand `Hamburg, 9th July 1941´. The Hungarian composer has neatly penned a three bars musical quotation on two staves, which corresponds to the first three musical chords of his work for piano Grand Galop Chromatique (1838). Franz Liszt composed in 1838 his piano work Grand Galop Chromatique. Over the next following years Liszt performed regularly this work which requires a virtuoso interpretation including an apotheotic finale.
