A double barreled flintlock gun by Halmazet Freres dating: Early 19th Century provenance: France, Smooth-bore, two-stage (both round), 16.5 mm cal. barrels, with rings at the girdle. Central rib with silvered fore-sight, with remains of gold-inlaid beams at the base, first segment with marking 'CANON TORDU' In gold among the spirals. Remains of elliptical stamps at the base. Tang with broad sight. Locks with roundish plate, with signature 'HALMAZET FRERES / DE LILLE'. Wooden, half stock with floral chisels. Iron mounts. Copper-color tipped ramrod and iron cartridge extractor. Butt-plate with openable compartment. length 103,5 cm.
