ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 411-340 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22.5 mm, 14.75 g, 12 h). Bearded head of Dionysos to left, wearing ivy wreath with berries on forehead. Rev. ΘΑΣΙΟΝ Herakles, wearing lion's skin headdress and short hunting tunic, kneeling to right, drawing his bow; on the lower right, kantharos. HGC 6, 342. Le Rider, Thasiennes 23. West 32. Porosity and roughness, otherwise, very fine.
